May the Words (Ps. 19:14), April 4, 2005
Words and Music by Leah Van Maaren

A verse I memorized one weekend while on retreat - this is only the beginning of a song and this particular part will probably end up being the chorus when I finish the song. It is a hard lesson for me to learn - that what I say may be pleasing, but God is also looking at my heart (which doesn't always match.) =( And with that, is it better to say nothing than to say something positive even if my heart is thinking opposite?

May the words of my mouth
and the thoughts of my heart
be pleasing to you, O Lord, my Rock.

Oh, everyday in all that I say,
be pleasing to you, O Lord, my Redeemer.
